RAINBOW FAMILY
Mother and daughter team Omanisa Ross and Mikiah Storm come from a long line of artists and healers. They specialise in colour therapy, story-telling, visionary art, energy work and the creation of therapeutic spiritual resources that help people learn and grow through sacred play.
Mikiah and Om will be hosting a stand at the Brisbane MindBodySpirit Festival in late February 2024 and providing readings. Omanisa will be bringing her Rainbow Medicine card and book set, Rainbow Remedies (20 herbal chakra tonics), Aura Cards and Spirit Guide oracle cards. Mikiah will be showcasing her Geometric Dreaming artwork and jewellery.
Omanisa
While Omanisa is a "Spiritual Naturopath" with over 20 years clinic experience, her true apprenticeship began when she was 14. Devouring books on shamanism, daoism, and creative visualisation, Om began a daily practice of meditation and colour-based visualisation. At age 16, she was taken on a vision quest by a First Nations elder and the vision she had predicted her future career as a psychic healer who can "see" the aura. Om has now been sketching the aura colours (energy fields) of clients for over 25 years, accumulating knowledge of over 100 colour frequencies that symbolise specific mind-body states.
When her daughter Mikiah was 8 years old, Omanisa created her first deck of Aura Cards, and began teaching Mikiah how to read them. Mikiah has gone on to become a 3rd generation psychic colour healer, with life-long experience in the imaginal realms. Her maternal grandmother Shell journeys into her inner world, and returns with detailed stories of her adventures. Shell’s method for healing is the visualisation of rainbows. This is a gift she passed onto her daughter, Omanisa, who then passed it to Mikiah.
Mikiah Storm
Mikiah began working with clients in 2017, offering a fusion of aura colour card reading, reiki (energy healing) and massage. She then created Soul Quest, an inner world journeying system Inspired by her knowledge of the Aura Colours. In 2019, she began developing Geometric Dreaming series, 22 archetypes which fuse Omanisa's aura colours with sacred geometry. Mikiah has a background in music, theatre, gymnastics, calisthenics, contemporary dance, estatic dance, and fire spinning. She is currently studying Naturopathy, kung fu, yoga and aerials.
MindBodySpirit Festival
We'll be at the 2024 MindBodySpirit Festival from February 24-26.
Here are some visual highlights featuring some of the stock we'll be bringing with us. Both of us will be doing a few readings... not many! We'd rather be talking to people at the stall, answering questions and having juicy conversations. Lineage
Omanisa's mother Shell raised her children on naturopathic food-as-medicine principles, creative visualisation, and a passion for the creative arts. Shell's father was an award-winning photographer and her mother Anne was the first female residential doctor in Central Australia. She received an OAM for her work with disabled children and received a WHO fellowship to study play therapy in Europe in the 1970's. Anne's mother Margaret had wanted to study medicine herself, but wasn't able to, and her own mother in turn was head matron at Hobart Hospital.
